The original, ultra-lite, adjustable, carbon fiber trekking poles are new and improved for 2010. Last year we
added stronger upper shafts, and dropped the price. This year we are adding a warranty to the upper shafts
against breakage, thats right, they are that strong. Also new for 2010, are completely reworked, stronger, and
stiffer lower shafts. The lowers now use anodized aluminum and stainless steel hardware for better corrosion
resistance, and the new carbon shafts are twice as strong as the old versions, with a weight penalty of only .2oz
per pole. All of the upper and lower shaft components remain interchangeable between new and old AGPs.
The poles adjust from 30" to 51" utilizing our carbon friendly rubber expander system we pioneered several
years ago. It is this rubber expander system that makes UL adjustable carbon poles possible. AGPs accept a
variety of accessories, and unlike most poles, you can use two lower sections with one upper section to pitch
shelters up to 66" tall. Also new for 2010 is a Tenkara fly rod (Yagi) accessory that works in conjunction with
your AGPs.
